What is Canvas?

Canvas is Frostburg State University's Learning Management System that allows users to access course materials, announcements, assignments, 测试, 和 to collaborate online through discussion boards, 博客, 维基百科, 等.

网讯 is Frostburg State University's virtual classroom 和 online meeting environment. It provides real-time online lectures, 录音, online office hours, 和 online group collaboration. If your instructor uses 网讯, it is accessible from within your Canvas course.

Together, Canvas 和 网讯 makeup FSU's dynamic environment for online learning.

When will I use Canvas?

Your instructor will let you know if they are using Canvas 和 网讯 for your course.  All online courses require the use of Canvas.

What will I do on Canvas?

Instructors have the liberty to tailor how they use Canvas 和 网讯 for course materials 和 activities.  Some things you may be able to do in your Canvas course include:

  • View course documents 和 presentations
  • 提交 assignments
  • Take exams or quizzes
  • Check/view grades 和 progress
  • Participate in discussions
  • Access 录音

How do I access Canvas?

  1. 去 FSU Canvas web site. (http://frostburg.instructure.com)
  2. Log in with your FSU credentials
  3. Your course will appear under the Courses 模块 when the instructor makes the course available to you.

What if I need help with Canvas?
